Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using MyDoc platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Platform Identity & Medical Responsibility

MyDoc provides technology infrastructure for:

• Remote consultations with licensed doctors
• Digital prescription management (issued by doctors)
• Lab test booking and results
• Pharmacy prescription fulfillment
• Payment processing

Medical responsibility lies with:

• Doctors: Diagnosis, prescriptions, treatment decisions
• Labs: Accurate test results
• Pharmacies: Correct medication dispensing

3. AI Usage & Limitations

• Diagnose diseases - Only licensed doctors can diagnose
• Prescribe medication - Only doctors after consultation can prescribe
• Replace medical consultation - AI is supplementary, not primary care
• Make emergency decisions - Call 112 for emergencies

You acknowledge that AI suggestions are educational only and must be verified by a licensed doctor before any medical action.

4. Doctor Verification & Standards

All doctors on MyDoc must be:

• Licensed with valid medical credentials
• Verified by our admin team before going live
• Professionally qualified in their stated specialty

Doctors cannot:

• Prescribe without completing a consultation
• Practice outside their verified specialty
• Bypass platform medical protocols

Unverified doctors will not appear in patient searches or be available for booking.

5. Prescription Policy

GOVERNANCE RULE: All prescriptions must:

• Be issued by a verified doctor only
• Be tied to a completed consultation
• Be digitally recorded in our system
• Only be fulfilled by registered pharmacies

Prescriptions cannot be:

• Generated by AI
• Issued without consultation
• Edited by patients or pharmacies without doctor approval
• Reused without doctor authorization

6. Laboratory & Pharmacy Partners

Lab Partners can:

• Process diagnostic tests
• Upload test results
• Set their own pricing

Lab Partners cannot:

• Diagnose patients
• Issue prescriptions
• Alter doctor orders

Pharmacy Partners can:

• Fulfill valid prescriptions
• Set medication prices
• Provide medication counseling

Pharmacy Partners cannot:

• Dispense drugs without valid prescriptions
• Change prescribed medicines without doctor approval
• Make medical diagnoses

7. Payment & Commission

Consultation payments are split as follows:

• Doctor Earnings: 80% of consultation fee
• Platform Commission: 20% of consultation fee

All payments must be completed before consultations begin. Doctor withdrawals require admin approval for compliance and fraud prevention.

8. Emergency Services Disclaimer

MyDoc provides remote consultations for non-emergency medical issues. Life-threatening conditions require immediate in-person care.

3. User Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and complete information
• Updating your information to keep it current

4. Medical Disclaimer

In case of emergency, call 112 or visit the nearest emergency room immediately.

5. Doctor Verification

All doctors on our platform are verified to be licensed by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). However, MyDoc is not responsible for the medical services provided by individual healthcare professionals.

6. Payments and Refunds

Consultation Fees: All consultation fees are displayed before booking and are payable through our secure payment gateway (Paystack).

Refund Policy:

• Cancellations more than 24 hours before appointment: 100% refund
• Cancellations less than 24 hours before appointment: 50% refund
• No-shows: No refund
• Doctor cancellations: Full refund

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal and medical information.

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Misuse the platform for illegal activities
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Share your account with others
• Harass, abuse, or harm healthcare providers or other users
• Upload viruses or malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform

9. Intellectual Property

All content on MyDoc, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of T21 Consultancy Services Limited (RC 1906039) and is protected by Nigerian and international copyright laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

MyDoc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
